Possible scenarios: Levadia vs Tammeka and Narva Trans vs Nõmme United
Two Premium Liiga games today at 18:00 where both ends of the table are settled: Levadia are champions and Narva are relegated. The question is motivation and what the teams will do.
Levadia vs Tammeka
Kick-off is at 18:00 at Sportland Arena. Levadia have already won the title (26 wins, 6 draws, 1 loss) but still have three games left. Levadia only have the Georgian Nikoloz Kutateladze suspended, otherwise they have a full squad. Levadia have shown very strong form at the end of the season and have pushed in every game until the end.
Tammeka have four players suspended: Herman Pedmanson, Thomas Lisboa, Giacomo Uggeri and Arti Viinapuu. The first three are key players, and Lisboa is one of the best midfielders of the season. That is a big loss for Tammeka.
Levadia have beaten Tammeka all three times this season: 2-1 (Apr 22), 1-0 (May 30) and 6-0 (Sep 17). Over the last 20 meetings Levadia have won 17, there have been 3 draws and Tammeka have never won.
Tammeka are 5th on 50 points and are in a fight with Nõmme Kalju (4 points ahead) for a European spot, so they need the win. With three key players missing, though, it gets quite difficult for them. In their last game Tammeka beat Narva 5-1.
With these absences I would like Levadia to win by at least two goals, or an in-play over if Tammeka start attacking too.
Narva Trans vs Nõmme United
Narva are relegated from the Premium Liiga and their motivation is in question. What will the head coach and the club management do? Will they push to the end with the same players, or give playing time to youngsters? The lineups only become known about an hour before kick-off.
Narva's defence is still a big question mark. The last game against Tammeka (1-5) showed it, the one where we placed our bet and which was one of the worst bets of recent years. After it was 2-1, Tammeka got a red card, yet Narva still conceded three more goals. A proper collapse.
Suspended are Wisdom Awusi for Narva and Mathias Palts for United.
United are 9th, which means a play-off against the Esiliiga runner-up. Kuressaare are only one point and Vaprus two points away, so they need the win, while Narva have nothing to play for.
Nõmme United have won two in a row (3-0 vs Kalju and 4-2 vs Vaprus), so they feel quite comfortable. Striker Egert Õunapuu is back from injury and has 21 league games and 6 goals this season.
Scenario one: a very open game
With United needing the win and Narva having nothing to play for, we could see a very open game. In-play, an over 3 goals line could be one to consider.
Scenario two: Narva give youngsters playing time
If Narva give playing time to youngsters, you need to be ready an hour before kick-off, when the official lineups come out. In that scenario, Nõmme United -0.75 or -1 handicap could be considered.
What else matters
Tomorrow Vaprus vs Kuressaare (18:00) and Paide vs Kalju (19:00) are played. The first shows who is left in play-off danger alongside United, the second affects 2nd and 4th place.
Both of today's games start at 18:00 (Estonian time).
