October results: 7 bets, +0.40 units and +4.4% ROI

In October we placed 7 bets: 3 wins, 3 losses and 1 push. We staked 9 units in total and the month closed at +0.40 units, a +4.4% ROI. The result was disappointing: after a strong September, October only just finished in profit, far from what we were hoping for.

Right up to the last days of the month we were in the red (−0.48 units). On 29 October JK Tallinna Kalev beat Nõmme Kalju U21 3-1 in the Esiliiga, and Kalev -1.0 (live 0-1, odds 1.88) brought in +0.88 units.

NuPS -0.75 (live 0-0, odds 1.78) won +0.78 units. Brazil Beach 0 (odds 1.87, 2 units) added +1.74 units in beach soccer. Kalev -1.0 was the third win.

Narva Trans U21 -1 (odds 1.80, 2 units) was pushed, so that bet returned its stake with a result of 0.

We lost three bets, 1 unit each: Italy Beach Women win (odds 1.70), Pärnu JK Vaprus II -0.5 (live 1-1, odds 1.87; Vaprus II lost 2-3) and Narva Trans +0.5 (live 0-1, odds 1.88) against Tammeka, in a match where Narva were close to being relegated.

Narva Trans +0.5 was a very poor bet on our part. There were mild warning signs, since Narva have been extremely poor this year. But at the time we bet, their closest rival was 0-1 behind and the motivation was there, so it seemed worth trying. The match turned into a 1-5 defeat and was probably the worst bet of the year.

Still, in the big picture we can be happy with the season. There is one more round in the Estonian leagues, plus the promotion and relegation play-offs. After those, the season can be considered finished.
